Boilers
We offer a range of boilers, browse our boiler range below and learn more about which is right for you
Boilers come in three general types; Open Vented/Conventional, Combination and Systems. Each of these can be fuelled by mains gas, electricity, oil or LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) and there are many combinations of these.
Open Vented/Conventional are better suited for homes with multiple bathrooms, compatible with heat pump heating systems. Ideal where a lot of hot water is used at the same time/in multiple rooms.
Combination Boilers are better suited for homes with one bathroom, compact in size so ideal for smaller homes. Hot water is generated only when it's required and does not need a water storage tank.
Systems Boilers are better suited for homes with more than one bathroom, need a water cylinder to store hot water. Delivers a constant supply of hot water, so perfect for homes with higher hot water needs.
The right boiler for your home will depend on the fuel currently used, the size, your heating and hot water requirements, and your budget.
Gas Boilers
Commonly used in the UK, gas boilers are powered by gas from the mains. You can have one in your home if your property is connected to the mains gas network.
Electric Boilers
Electric boilers use electricity to heat water instead of gas/oil, but they function in a very similar way to gas boilers. They're a little more environmentally friendly than gas boilers, especially when used alongside solar panels.
Oil Boilers
Oil boilers heat your home with oil stored in a tank located outside your property (similar to an LPG boiler with oil rather than gas).
LPG Boilers
LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) boilers work similarly to gas boilers with the difference being that the petroleum gas is stored in a tank rather than supplied from the mains. The tank is located outside your property and has to be topped up by an LPG supplier.
Benefits of getting a new boiler
Increased energy efficiency: New boilers are designed to be more energy-efficient, meaning they can effectively heat your home while reducing your energy consumption. This can lead to lower energy bills and a smaller carbon footprint.
Enhanced reliability: Older boilers are more prone to breakdowns and malfunctions. By investing in a new boiler, you can enjoy improved reliability and peace of mind, knowing that your heating system is less likely to fail.
Improved performance: New boilers often come with advanced features and technologies that improve performance. They can provide more consistent and accurate heating, better temperature control, and faster heat-up times, ensuring your home stays comfortable.
Quieter operation: Older boilers tend to make more noise during operation, which can be disruptive. Newer models are often designed to be quieter, creating a more peaceful living environment.
Safety features: Modern boilers are fitted with advanced safety features, such as flame supervision devices and automatic shut-off valves, ensuring safer operation and reducing the risk of accidents.
Long-term cost savings: While investing in a new boiler may have an upfront cost, it can result in long-term savings. Improved energy efficiency can lead to reduced heating bills, and with proper maintenance, the lifespan of your new boiler can be extended, saving you money in the long run.
